Do you know your number partners?
Number partners are numbers when you add them together they make a 10.
We do that to add using make a 10 strategy. Making a 10 makes our addition much quicker.
Steps:
1. Split the smaller number to make a 10 for the bigger number.
2. Make a number partner for the bigger number.
3. Complete the number bond for the smaller number.
4. Use the number partners (make a 10) and add it to the leftover number.
and that’s how easy it is to add using make a 10 strategy!
